Dr. Wattacheril's primary translational science interests include: 1) Investigating the relationship between lipids and proteins within the context of the development and progression of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis using integrated omics approaches. 2) Enhancing the care of liver disease patients using genomics and electronic health record phenotyping. 3) The metabolic reprogramming associated with the development of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with NAFLD.
