What is GIGA-Kids Study?
GIGA-kids is a genetic study. The GIGA-kids study looks at the DNA of kids with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN) OR Henoch Schonlein Purpura (HSP) to see what changes in their DNA could lead to them getting the disease. The GIGA-kids study is NOT a clinical trial. Joining the GIGA-kids study will not change your child's doctor or the medicine they are taking. The only thing you need to do to join is answer some questions about your health, and have your blood drawn by the research team. Results from the GIGA-kids study will be used by doctors to make patient treatment better for other kids in the future. It will also help doctors learn more about IgA Nephropathy and other related diseases.
