This program offers quality internships for undergraduate and graduate students and is a key component of the LifeSci NYC initiative, aimed at generating thousands of new jobs and positioning New York City as a global leader in the life sciences. Many participating students are enrolled in the City University of New York (CUNY) schools, and student compensation is covered by the program.

Faculty interested in hosting these students are requested to submit the following information:

  1. Project Title
  2. Research project description (2-3 sentences)
  3. Intern's role and responsibilities (2-3 sentences)
  4. Suggested experience, expertise or skill sets (e.g., bench research, statistics, coding, data management, etc.)
    1. Intern's role involves human subjects (Y/N)
    2. Intern's role involves laboratory animals (Y/N)
    3. Intern's role involves bench work (Y/N)

This information will allow potential interns to identify projects that align with their research interests, skill sets and career goals. Please send this information and any questions you have to Vita Kolupaeva, PhD (vk2446@cumc.columbia.edu).
