Dr. Wang is a board-certified geriatrician and integrative medicine physician. He is also certified in acupuncture, plant-based nutrition, and Chinese herbal medicine. In his clinical practice, Dr. Wang offers integrative healing strategies that include lifestyle changes, plant-based nutrition, mindfulness meditation, Tai Chi, qigong, and an emphasis on the therapeutic encounter, and actively addresses the prevalent issue of polypharmacy in older adults.

Dr. Wang is also a clinical researcher with expertise in the immune system and a PhD in Clinical Investigation. While on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, he was the principal investigator of a laboratory that focused on understanding the aging immune system. He is currently planning a clinical trial to assess the effects of Tai Chi on the immune plasticity in aging, as well as a clinical trial to study the effects of a holistic lifestyle intervention (including whole-food, plant-based diet and mind-body components) on outcomes in women with metastatic breast cancer.

He teaches medical residents and students on the principles and practice of integrative medicine.
