Making sure the division of Cardiology is working within the university’s and CUMC Information Security group guidelines. General Medicine: Scope of work: Assistance with MC/Exchange/DatAnywhere accounts, Departmental drive access (P drive), Endpoint Registration and Encryption, Help Desk Assistance, Assistance with CUMC System Certification Program and Registration in RSAM, Development of certified system solutions utilizing Qualtrics & Filemaker Research Database, Assistance with SAS/SPSS License Columbia Center for Translational Immunology (CCTI) Scope of work: Departmental P drive access (Active Directory), Endpoint registration/encryption, SLA/BAA administration, Sharepoint Adminstration, external web presence management, CCTI database administration and maintenance, direct core file storage and backups, vendor management, desktop maintenance and assistance, hardware/software installations, VPN access and BYOD support Basic Self-Help As you all know, users at CUMC have multiple login accounts used to access different CU/NYH systems. UNI: All Columbia University employees are assigned a UNI. Each UNI is unique and it is constructed from your initials and numbers. It is used to access CU website services (RASCAL, ARC, https://my.columbia.edu, etc). To manage your UNI, please go to: http://uni.columbia.edu. CUMC Exchange email account (MC domain account) – CUMC employees are assigned an exchange e-mail account such as, UNI@cumc.columbia.edu. This account uses your UNI ID as well, but since it’s a different authentication system, the password is not related to the other account. The same account (and password) is also use to sing to CUMC computers connected to MC domain. To manage it, please go to: http://cumc.columbia.edu/it/howto/domain/mypassword.html NYH account - to manage it, please visit: https://infonet.nyp.org/ Accessing email accounts: Users are able to access their CUMC Exchange e-mail account via any web browser at: https://mail.cumc.columbia.edu/owa (also, for easy remembering, you can go to main CU page (http://www.columbia.edu) and click on Email/CUMC Outlook Web Access NYH users can go to https://infonet.nyp.org/ SECURE TEXTING This is an application that is being offered by CUMCIT. However, it requires a DA’s approval. We are still evaluating the security issues but at this point recommend AGAINST moving ahead with this application for your faculty. REMOTE ACCESS Wi-Fi access: Due to security purposes, CUMC users are to use the secure Athens wi-fi service. You will need to use your UNI and UNI’s credential (Not your exchange or MC domain credentials) or your CWID (hospital credential). It required additional components to be installed to establish the wi-fi connection. Please contact your IP support group for additional details.
