 Mission
The Department of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons is dedicated to improving the health and life quality of New Yorkers and others by:
  • (1) educating medical students, residents, practicing physicians, and pre- and post-doctoral fellows
  • (2) providing care to patients
  • (3) conducting scholarly research investigation, and
  • (4) stimulating economic development in the state through bio-technical innovation.
